Eww, nice looking fish!
Can you post a closer pic? I really like him. First Tang I've ever liked.
Not the Trachys! Shrimp! It's what's for dinner! So today while my friend was here and we were talking, one of the peppermints came out and took a bite right out of one of my Trachys.... ;Rage;Rage;Rage
The one that is close to where they hide during the day.... The pink one not the green one. He was all pulled in and my friend commented on it before hand. I have now moved him to the front corner of the tank next to the other. I got the stupid peps to kill my aiptaisia and catch one taking a chunk out of my poor trachy... ;Punch;Punch
At least you saw it happen amd will have an idea whats going on should the Trachy start pouting. My peps dont roam too far from their hideout that i ever see so hopefully moving it is all you need to do.

No trachys at the show today

Noooooo!!!!!
When corals look too nice for their own good...Yup, was watching as he came out and walked right on top of it then pinched off a piece of flesh. I grabbed an acrylic tube and shooed him away and then moved the trachy about 10" to the front left corner of the tank. Right beside the other one.
Trachy nicely open in his new spot today. Not sure I like where he is but he does
Today's parameters
Sal - 1.025
pH - 8.2
NO3 - <1
PO4 - .022
dkH - 7.62
Ca - 420
Mg - 1440
Dosed Iodine, ESV-Bionic & NeoNitro. Seems I can't keep NO3 in this tank. Tang is looking much better today, coloring looks a lot lighter. I am going to take some pics and post them up in a bit.
What test do you use for ph?
I never really chased ph but my API always has me at 7.8-8.
I use RedSea for pH, Mg & Ca. Hanna for PO4 and dkH. And NYOS for NO3
