Güeros new 250G build.

First pic is of tonight. Im starting to see a lot more rock and a lot less diatoms! I currently only have 6x AI sols above the tank because im not in need of high light just yet. Eventually i will move over the radions and more than likely will add some t5's also!!

Pic 2 and 3 are the new tanks. The center one will have the acrylic divider removed and will become a frag tank. Its 7ft x 2ft. Cant remember the dept. The top tank will hold fish/inverts and the bottom one will be the sump for that system!

Added a few more corals this evening. Moved over my chalice frags, as well as a massive spongodes monti colony. I also removed all the softies/leathers from the other system and set them up in my sump while i treat the tank for BCP (blue close polyp) as soon as the 180/frag table are free and clear of the BCP, everything will be transferred over to the new system so that one can be cleaned and go home to its new owner!

Well ive made a bit more progress today! Got some of the plywood up. I just need to mark out the doors and cut. I will probably also paint the inside before i put them back up. I also took down the qt system this last week so i am able to finish the back wall. I got a few sheets up, hopefully this does t get drug out. I also started the blue clove polyp treatment on monday night. So far it appears to be working. I guess i will know by the end of the week just how well it worked!

Work is slow today so i am building extension harness' for my mp60s so i can mount them on the same wall as my apex. If anyone needs specs on wiring and connectors/pins. Let me know!

Hey Everyone! Its been a minute! So the 470 is long gone. Almost a year ago that i sold it. I loved it but it was just too time-consuming to continue on with. Ive had numerous setups since that one would evolve into another. But now that the basement is finished, my wife read me my rights and said it was time time to decide on something realistic and manageable. Well thats where this new build will be starting.

I have been trying to find the perfect tank size for the space it will be going (fish room will be come my office). I was up at concept aquariums in Calgary visiting Dave and checking out his office tanks..well i wondered into the back to see what was being built and immediately fell in love with a tank that was built and being packed up for shipping! I will attach some pics of it below. So after that i ran into Daves office all excited and ordered my new tank. My dimensions were slightly larger than whats pictured, but none the less fsntastic! So the new 250 is 96x36x22.

So this was the tank i saw in Concept that for whatever reason it called out to me. What we found out after though is that my new one is 6" wider then this one. I also decided i would get a new sump built with this tank because im still using my old/new sump from the 470. The problem is its massive and will leave me no room under the stand for my ato or anything so i ordered the same sump, just smaller.
