Those pics are really beautiful Shaun, they make me wander how the rest of the planet would be without us messing with it. Thanks for sharing. :)
Ain't that the truth

It’s quiet beautiful how you can get close up to the animals and they take no notice of you, they don’t run away, their not frightened in any way

I’ve always read this about Galapagos but to experience it is simply amazing. We always kept a respectable distance, the park advices 2 metres and the animals just looked at you, or ignored you and went back to sleep.

I know I’m repeating myself, but it’s simply a magical place, magical.........

On the 19th May 2019 we continued into the mangroves at Elizabeth Bay Galapagos, and came across some more of the local residents who proceeded to playfully swim around our boat.

The Galapagos Penguins

Wow, the penguins, I forgot they were in the Galapagos too. Cool little dudes, excellent pics Shaun. ;Drool

I know, it’s very odd to see them in that environment and their the only Penguins found north of the equator anywhere in the world.

Along with other animals such as Marine Iguanas their survival and numbers is majorly impacted by the El Niño weather as and when it occurs every few years as it can have affects on their food supplies, in terms of fish numbers and for the Marine Iguanas the abundance of their algae food source.

It's one beautiful.world we live in.... I love those marine iguanas. They're awesome. Swim in the ocean and eat the agae of the rocks.
In real life their very sweet as well, and there will be some great pictures coming up of a massive colony we visited

We continued into the mangroves at Elizabeth Bay Galapagos, still during the day of 19th May 2019

We went around another corner and encountered a local fisherman.......

We left the Heron behind and then met another furry fellow, who was well, a little sleepy......

And had no intention of being woken up by the odd humans looking at him

It was the 19th May 2019 as we left the sleeping sea lion behind us, and continued to head into the mangroves of Elizabeth Bay Galapagos

The water was simply teaming with life and, other inhabitants who stopped by to say hello...

We slowly crept away and out of the mangroves in the inflatables at Elizabeth Bay and once clear headed back to the boat. The boat was only close by but after a long day we arrived back as dusk started to fall

I cannot explain in words the experience of Galapagos as nights draw in. It is simply magical.....

May have to place this on my bucket list!!
