Another road bump.
Finally opened my return pump box.
And they sent me the non bluetooth manifold. So waiting on current.

Nice. I also use a scale. My mix calls for a half cup which is 120g, but it really takes 132g for me to get to 35 SG. Scale makes it easy.

EDIT: I just checked my notes. A half cup is 140g and it takes 152g to get to 35 SG.

I keep a dry erase board above each of my tanks with important numbers.
Reef has dates of last media change, wc, and how much salt and total ml of dosing each day.

ThePlanted actually has more [emoji23]
Co2 ppm, co2 by bubble count , nitrate target, phosphate target, uv life, light rbg settings.

If hana had wifi testers i would use more of them [emoji23].

For keeping track of my parameters on each system i use aquatic log app. Would be awesome if could test send to a device on wifi to record the number. Instead of manually inputting.

Some additional equipment.
-Vivid 3/4’’ random flow nozzle
-decided against uv went with a biopellet reactor instead, somatic reactor sale from @MarineDepot. Free reactor with vertex pellets. No idea if i will regret this decision later but it happened [emoji23]
Have an insane number of spare danner pumps(outdoor pond spares) will hook one up to this.

Added the sand, even after rinsing for and hour and half till was clear in the container. Still cloudy 8 hours in the tank [emoji23]

Vivid random flow generator came in, shipping delayed on the loc line, but brs gave me $20 in credit because of it :)

The biopellet reactor is due in today.

Also ordered velcro extreme from amazon to clean up my electronic cabinet. Will label this time too :).

Cycling with the bacteria i had on hand a mixture of microbacter 7 and Dr. tims. Also placed a filter sock in my current sump last week to absorb some bacteria, thats in there as well. Drilling holes in tonga was a me killing 3 drill bits, ill attach the frags with super glue when that time comes.

Debating on lid still, wrote to artfully acrylic on my cat jumping on tank problem, and how they felt their lid would work.

Perhaps making a canopy?

4 days molly still shows no signs of illness.

Plans for the day or couple days depends on if my return arrives today.
-match salinity(1.026) and alkalinity(8.6dkh) has of new tank to old tank shouldnt take much use DD h2ocean because it mixes to my tanks parameters. With nothing photosynthetic in new tank yet i doubt ph will match but thats 8.4 on current tank.
-Mix ATI essentials, been sitting unused for 3 months now.
-Clean skimmer, carbon reactor, pumps in vinegar.(air stone in tank during)
-Clean any algae off rocks in current tank then start moving over
-Remove fish and inverts to buckets.
-secure fiji liverock to tonga rock with super glue and epoxy.

Using BRS ai prime episode for par measurements as i dont have a par meter.

Will use a dry erase on the tank to mark the par levels off where corals will go.

When your at the lfs and theres that person using a flat cart for rodi with 12, 5 gallon containers; how do they stay in the hobby if thats even a once a month chore? I mean id either quit or join a body sculpting competition [emoji23].

Cleaned up the electrical cabinet a little. Still waiting on my salt bucket so havent done what i wanted to yet.

Will change where the wires are tied to behind the stand instead of in front of the surge pads. When i did this i was under the impression this would be easier, its not lol. But surge pads are now attached by velcro to the back.

Vivid return nozzle installed.
Kinda tired so not doing much more tonight lol.
Parameters now match the 20 gallon.

Put together the somatic media reactor. Having now owned both the aquatop version and the somatic.

Somatic is a higher build quality.
But less versatile this can not be used for carbon. Easier to take top off of though. Does not come with tubing or a pump like the aquatop. Addind media is a little interesting, bottom plate does not stay completely still, no directions at all(it is a very simple piece of equipment, but if your not familiar with reactors this might be confusing)

So my goal is a limited water change system, where trace is replaced with ATI essentials, and excess nutrients removed via fuge, biopellets/skimmer, gfo, and occasionally carbon for glebstoft. Fuge algae will all be edible varieties, starting with gracillia, ulva added later.

Fuge will go online with the change over, biopellets only after nitrate greatly rises over target range. And starting with 1/4 the suggested amount. Using weekly red sea nitrate tests to dial in. Hopefully as more corals are added or grow excess nutrients will be less a worry and can reduce filtration methods overtime.
