Hey,

I am currently quarantining my gem tang. In the last few days he has been having discoloration in his face. The water parameters are good. Has anyone seen this before? Will go away once he goes in the display tank?

Im guessing a reaction to copper. What level copper are you using?
Hopefully you are testing and monitoring copper.
What foods are you feeding the Gem and how os its' breathing and swimming activity?

It stays at Constant .5 ppm with cupramine. I stay on top of testing. He’s been in there for 2 weeks. A couple of days ago I did a large water change and did not put copper back in. He is eating seaweed, frozen foods, and sometimes new life spectrum. His breathing is normal as long as he’s calm. Acting normal and eating really well.

Are there similar spots on the right side of the fish?
