I don’t understand how you can “try to get more”, and then the next day say “they’re back”, if you are quarantining them for two weeks.

Sounds like you JUST got them. Could you explain?
Agreed. Would appreciate an explanation to this as well since I have one coming and just want an honest answer as to its background. But don't care as ill take care of it on my end regardless.

I got mine at noon today. This fish was eating in the bag while I was acclimating. This fish wasn't just shipped from overseas. I had my doubts at that price, but Michael shipped him like a pro. Triple bagged and large box with lots of water, and heat packs. Thanks Michael I will buy from you again in the future. Feel secure with this guy.

@NYAquatic would appreciate a response to the QT question above. I see you have seen our questions but not responded which isn't comforting. You stated they are 2 week QT'd yet just got more in stock over night. Were they QT'd by your supplier or did the 2 weeks QT only refer to the first batch?

Can’t pass this up...I QT regardless. Just placed my order. Can I add more fish to my order with the free shipping?

Sorry, been on the road since last Wednesday
Too hard to answer all these on my phone, lol

Anyway, those first three had been around for 2+ weeks.
We don't necessarily hold fish 2 weeks.
Minimum 7 days before we start shipping.
They do spend at lease a week in copper and prazi.

In terms of QT, if you have a reef, no matter where you buy from, you should QT.
I could hold fish for a year in copper. Unless during that time I never add any more fish to the system (not much of a business then), the fish are not properly QT'd
Plus the stress of shipping always has the potential to bring stuff out.

Different story for FO system.

So see herein lies the problem. I purchased one from the second batch and I have an email from you stating that it has been in copper for 2 weeks which the above does not support. Not trying to be combative but the information you're giving is conflicting... just want honest info.

This is not about QT vs not. I'm going to QT but want to treat the fish well. If the fish has actually already been in copper for 2 weeks I will give it a rest period before running copper on my end again. If not, I will put in it copper sooner.

Not sure who's who on here.
FWIW, order # 12712 was the last of the earlier batch.
If you're order number is above that, it's the newer batch.
The newer ones landed by us on 11/2
It takes 4-5 days of observation to make sure fish are going to be sellable, then we post.
That batch will begin shipping tomorrow.

My Gem tang was one of the 3 that was QT'd. I would have bought one of the next batch regardless. I have been in the salt hobby for 34 years. I have had some fish last 18 years and some ship dead. This guy did a great job shipping and I get that it is a lot of money, but it is always a risk. He has an arrive alive guarantee and He was very responsive and I would use him again in the future. Thanks for the great fish at a great price.
