Generosity in reefing: How have you made a difference in the reefing community this year (or how has someone else made a difference for you)? There are so many ways that R2R members regularly make a difference in the world around them. Whether it is the R2R community giving to Toys-for-Kids, the many reef club members that volunteer their time for frag swaps and other events, those who have helped others rebuild their tanks after hurricanes, those doing beach and river cleanups, as well as giving to a range of marine conservation organizations, so many of you continue to be so generous. Thank you! Tell us about your volunteering and difference-making experiences in the thread below!
Whether it is donating to the R2R Toys-for-Kids drive, participating in the R2R Secret Santa, volunteering at a local frag swap or other reef event (yes, I saw many of you being awesome!), volunteering at a local nature center, helping with waterway clean ups, freely sharing fish/coral/equipment, or supporting reef conservation organizations, please think about how you can make a difference in the world around you. Remember that even if you don't live by an ocean, rivers are important too because they lead to the ocean and to reefs so participating in waterway clean ups wherever you live is important! I can tell you that as I participated in the events listed above it has made a big impact for me as I have worked to make a difference in my world. How has making a difference in the reefing community made an impact for you? What are other ways that you would like to make a difference or would encourage others to make a difference? If you have worked to make a difference yet then please look around to see what you can do and jump in - together the R2R community can make a huge impact!
