looking good.
How much space will you keep between the wall and the back of the wall with this piping?

Thanks!
It will be a 4 inch gap. I’m going to be making trim for the cabinet side and tops that will be exposed. I had to make sure I could access the unions in case of leaks and unforeseen problems.

Working on the Neptune controller board this morning a bit. I went through a few cardboard cutouts before I settled on this layout. I went with a different wire grommet than most just for the style. I don’t mind cutting out squares either. The 2nd power bar will be mounted at the top. Both power bars will be bracketed in and the center section will be attached by magnetic mounts so it will be easily accessible to the back when needed.

The time has come to leak test and then get it running!!! While that’s happening I will be running the jigsaw and the router to get the control board finished. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

While browsing through the local reefing community page on FB I came across some UV color paintings. Going through the different ones she had done like jellyfish and sea turtles, I found an over tank painting that I absolutely wanted! I messaged the artist and unfortunately I was too slow and it had already sold but she she gladly said she would make another. Then we got to talking about a set and well I’ll let the pictures tell the story. Turns out she is on here as well! @musicthriller has helped bring my other obsession over to my tank space with some UV art! From sketch to almost done I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! Now I’m thinking about having others made for my daughters room. Possibly Zoanthids. Or possibly as she suggested, since let’s face it it fits the theme already, Baby Yoda! Lol

Back to work on the controller board. Since I will be buying a 4’x8’ sheet of MDF I’m going to have an extra full controller board once I cut the pieces out. I posted the measurements I have taken to fit snugly after I add the wrap. I’ll be wrapping it with Tolex speaker box black bronco texture. I thought about making it gloss but found the gloss vinyl to lightly scratch easily. Really want to get the messy wire infestation under control! Haha

Well you know what they say, where there is one Germ there is bound to be more!

Appreciate it! I’m cutting the controller board right now. And will be moving everything into place tonight to add water.

It has found its home against the wall. Unions have been retightened and there is plenty of room to access behind if/when needed.

Sand has touched down. Since my rock has been cycling for the past 2 months in a brute trash can it will be interesting to build my aquascape with the E-Marco mortar kit I have. Looking forward to the mess!
