WWC Neptune Echinata

Sorry for newb question, is this a easy beginner coral? It is awesome in my opinion

Don't ever apologize for asking for care information. How else are you going to learn?

Echinatas are reasonably easy. Lower light, lower flow, they like to be fed. They can sometimes send out very long filaments that will digest nearby corals, so give them some space between nearby corals. Too much light can sometimes hurt them.

@WWC what's y'all recommendation light and flow for cyphastrea. I got three from last time but they are all losing color
Cyphastrea can live and do well in a lot of different areas in the tank. Moderate light and moderate flow is fine.

I believe they are pretty low maintenance like acans and I did hear they can be aggressive I do not own any

That's because they are acans. :) Acanthastrea echinata is the full species name. And incidentally, the Acans that most people think of (Acan Lords) are not actually Acans, but are actually Micromussa. Most hobbyists still call them Acans though.

What are bowerbankis like in terms of care?
They’re not difficult…medium to lower light, medium to low flow and they love to be target fed with reef roids and small meaty foods like mysis shrimp. They expand and really open up to eat…they’re my favorite for this reason. You should get one!
