All sales final - this is used stuff. Shipping is on you, and will vary by item size, mass, and bulk. I will not hold anything, and if you say "PMed!" but don't respond or PP the purchase price within 24 hours, it will go to the next person in line. So doddle at your own risk. Coming up, I will have a Cole-Parmer based water changing device for a really not bad price.

CLEARVIEW LIDS Tsunami Lid for Innovative Marine 25 Lagoon.

SOLD AND SHIPPED.

Part 2. Water Changer - (AUTO if you add a digital smart timer device). $450 shipped.

Description -

Up for grabs is a lab-grade auto water change system that I put together and tested, but never ran the hoses.

This is a variable volume 'auto' (if you add a smart timer) water change unit based around the Cole Parmer variable speed peristaltic pump unit 7520-40 which is a 120v pump, high torque motor that can spin between 6-600 rpms. The pump heads (1 each for water in and water out) will spin at exactly the same rate (because they are on the same shaft) and use the same size hose so the volume of water in and water out will be exactly matched. The pump heads are both Cole Parmer Masterflex 7015-20's and use a thick robust polycarbonate outer shell and corrosion resistant stainless steel ball bearings and rollers - this isn't some Chinese piece of plastic rubbish. The flow rate of the 7015's is determined by the tubing used. The tubing included in this sale is Cole Parmer Masterflex LS 96410-15, which is rated for 1100 mL per minute, or 14.4 gallons per hour depending on what speed you run the pump head at. This particular hose gives a flow rate of 1.7ml per pump head rotation. You only use this high precision hose in the pump head. You then use hose barbs to connect cheaper hose to the tank and to the drain.

To determine how much volume is moved by this pump in a given time, just put one gallon of water into a bucket, set the pump to the mid speed, put the 'water in' hose end into the bucket, and time how long it takes to move one gallon of water. Then just multiply that time by however many gallons you want to change. One pump head will of into your aquarium or your sump - the other end of that line will go to a sink or wastewater disposal. The water in line will come from your RO reservoir and will enter your sump or aquarium no more than an inch or so above the waterline. Voilla - auto water change (again, if YOU add a digital smart outlet timer or program one of your controller outlets)!

To do the auto part you will have to hook the pump up to a smart outlet timer, or to your reef controller. Just have that outlet timed to come on for however long you have calculated per gallon x how many gallons you want to move.

This is a lab-grade piece of equipment. The pump is used, but it is in great condition, American made, and extremely robust. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. No returns, so be sure this is the piece of equipment you want to use for this purpose. Please ask any question PRIOR to purchase.

Small 8 hole no-name magnetic frag rack with most of a bag of purple frag plugs. $25 shipped. Probably 20 plugs in there still. Magnet on the frag rack plenty strong for thickness of glass on an IM25.
