Okay...so we don't normally do a side by side comparison, but today we decided to test the PAR on the Giesemann Stellar versus the data we gathered on the Aquatic Life hybrid fixture to see how they compare to each other.

Thanks Randy - excellent comparison. I have been looking to move from just LED to a hybrid system the past couple of months so excellent work like this is appreciated. I was wondering if BRS is going to do a review of the new dim-able AL Hybrid in the near future.

I have a feeling that a number of reefers are looking for a fixture that isn't as wide as the Giesemann (and don't currently have to somehow place some international order for shortening brackets by some unclear mechanism) but has better fit and finish and cable management than the current/old Aquatic Life hybrid. The new DX18 hybrid looks like it might solve both issues (in addition to possible advantages of making the T5s dim-able) but haven't seen any reviews yet.
