So, really I was just too much of a cheapskate to upgrade my site plan to the next tier, which would have included the "gift card" option. I just couldn't justify it, as anything else offered in the better plan was in no way essential to me. I had this ****-a-meemy system for doing a gift credit for people interested in this sort of thing.
Ultimately it was super inconvenient and pretty lame. But, as one of very few silver linings this past year, last march-ish, as a "lifeline" for vendors, they started offering the gift card option to all of the plans, and I didn't hesitate to get it set up and running. I do get asked about it a lot, so just in case you missed it, and are looking for some last-minute gift ideas, I finally have an actual gift card option available on the site in the "battleboxes section.
