Sensor for lights

this shelf while looks cool is wildly in practical. It’s very annoying to have to raise the hood anytime you want anything from this shelf. Again, looks really cool and makes people go ooooo, in actuality, pretty inconvenient.

So live stock update. Fish wise, thriving. Dave the angler fish eelanoor the golden dwarf eel are loving life. My two chromis still have never been caught by the above two and continue to thrive. My starfish - is huge, but creepy as can be. Will be giving him away soon.

corals - ups and downs. I have had two things happen - 1 my dose lines got mixed up and caused my Alk routine to be cal and my calcium routine to be alk. That fried 75% of my sps. Got that under control and tried sps again. Had a huge phosphate spike (I think my media went bad quickly) and my phosphates and nitrates sky rocked. This ended all of my sps except for one. I still have not gone back to trying sps.

the above phosphate spike also killed by nice torch from TSA and my misting sunset monti.

Zoas and mushrooms -these are thriving. So much that I have stopped feeding the tank any sort of coral food. I junky feed the fish frozen. Zoas and mushrooms continue to grow like crazy.

Top right you can see the torch I picked up a while back. It was so small we didn’t know what it was. Now the 1 head is turning into 4-5. Looks like a cristata torch but not sure.

40 hours later my overflow is done. Looks pretty cool. I mis measured one thing but I can live with it.

Made some custom frag grow out plates. Acrylic so they are easy to pull of and put on plugs. 3D printed name plates.

They’re a little dusty from cutting the acrylic, need to run under so RO.

I was updating my xr15 for above the frag tank. When I did the reset, the lights came on full blast. It was aimed at my newly made frag holders:

Frag tank is 90% done and installed. Most importantly it’s running and has frags in it. Pics coming soon.

Should I be concerned about how green my rocks are? It’s not slimy or anything. They basically did this instead of turning purple with coraline.

The rocks will turn green with algae before they begin turning purple
