Sadly, I don't have ChemiPure blue and since it's already night here I can't buy it here. I have a bag of fluvial activated carbon mesh bags of 100g each.Water change likely not necessary especially if you introduce carbon.
I would recommend chemiPure Blue which will do the same as carbon and remove any toxins quicker.
I was actually thinking the same!If my hydrodynamics is correct, the crack at the bottom would only allow the water in. The pressure of the water would have to fill and equalize in the tube before it could start leaching out.
If I remember correct.
Will do! would the Ph and Alk increase or decrease?I would agree, still check ph and ALk.
keep an eye on things. If water was contaminated things should show signs rather quickly. Still cannot hurt to keep a Poly-Filter in the closet as part of the emergency kit.
I say water change because activated carbon does not bind heavy metals. If the water got inside, contacting the metal heating elements, then potential contamination may have occurred. For the one's saying water change, What would be the worst outcome if I don't perform it? What do you think about using the Activated Carbon?
ohhh okok, I just added the carbon to the filter sock and will do a Ph test ASAPYou are just checking to make sure PH and alk have not crashed, or gone way down. 7.4 Ph, AlK 6
