Glass Heater Broken. EMERGENCY Water Change???

For the one's saying water change, What would be the worst outcome if I don't perform it? What do you think about using the Activated Carbon?

Water change likely not necessary especially if you introduce carbon.
I would recommend chemiPure Blue which will do the same as carbon and remove any toxins quicker.

If my hydrodynamics is correct, the crack at the bottom would only allow the water in. The pressure of the water would have to fill and equalize in the tube before it could start leaching out.

Sadly, I don't have ChemiPure blue and since it's already night here I can't buy it here. I have a bag of fluvial activated carbon mesh bags of 100g each.

I was actually thinking the same!

I think the general consensus say that most likely nothing happened but I should run the carbon for 24hrs just for extra safety, is that ok? would you add anything else?

keep an eye on things. If water was contaminated things should show signs rather quickly. Still cannot hurt to keep a Poly-Filter in the closet as part of the emergency kit.

I'll look for them the next time I go for RO/DI water, promise! haha

I say water change because activated carbon does not bind heavy metals. If the water got inside, contacting the metal heating elements, then potential contamination may have occurred.

ohhh okok, I just added the carbon to the filter sock and will do a Ph test ASAP
