Hi, I got my YWG 4 days ago and off the bat he wasn't acting too normal. I thought he was just shy. But he just sits in his cave and the 2nd day I noticed he had some loose tissue on his lips. 3rd day, he had pale spots on his cheeks, and now today, his eyes are foggy and enlarged. I ordered some Melafix by API and its coming today. Is there anything I can do for him? I don't have a quarantine tank and everything else in my tank is fine. Parameters are ideal as well.

So get RODI- same temperature as tank water and put an air stone in it. Put the fish in for 5 minutes and he will look strange like he is dying. You should see flakes fall off of him. After the timer, put him back in the tank.

Thank you so much, should I just take him back to the store? I dont want to risk infecting my other fish.

If you take him back, he will most likely die of flukes along with stress.

I would do the freshwater dip

Okay is the dip a long term solution? Or is it just short term? I really dont want to to risk my tank getting infected.
