COMMON NAME: Golden Butterflyfish

FOODS & FEEDING: The Golden Butterflyfish is sometimes reluctant to feed, but may eat live blackworms, clam, live or frozen mysid shrimp, or vitamin enriched brine shrimp. Once feeding, try offering various frozen preparations for herbivores. Should be fed at least 3 times per day.
REEF COMPATIBILITY: Can be kept with soft corals such as Sinularia spp. but, is not suited for a tank with stony corals and some species of soft corals.
CAPTIVE CARE: The Golden Butterflyfish should only be purchased if young (Younger specimens are morelikely to accept substitute foods), healthy, and readily feeding. This species needs plenty of swimming room and should be kept with peaceful tank mates. They can be kept in pairs or small groups in larger aquariums.
