This little critter has made my Goni start to close up. Any ID and suggestions? Sorry for poor image quality.

It might be a sea spider of some kind. Just reach in with gloves and take it out. I would be interested in seeing a picture of it once you take it out.

It retreats inside the skeleton when I go near it. Do you think a dip would help?

Dip and brush if you can. When you said it retreated you meant into the Goni skeleton right?

Yeah it goes back inside rapid. I dipped it earlier today and used tweasers to try and rip it out. The head of something came off? Haha. But the body is defo still there.

Yikes! So nothing in the dip? Least you got the head. Any pics of that or to squashed to recognize?

I tried to get a picture but it was too small and squished to be able to ID.

Yeah! That would be a very apt thread! Haha
