Isnt life rock not the same as live rock. These are word games.
Id go to an aquarium shop and buy a small piece of their live rock if your trying to see your tank. And buy this stuff to fill out the rockwork

None of the stuff you buy online is live rock. It's dry base rock. Unless you're buying it from a place like gulfliverock.com The stuff in the first post is just painted dry rock.

Well well well……. My Caribsea 20lb box arrived today from Petco.

I received 6.8 lbs. !!!!!!! Shipping label claims 25lbs.

Now I have to call Petco and raise bloody hell.

There is another whole thread about this deal of the life rock from petsmart. Anyone who ordered 20 lbs got one rock approximately 5 lbs with the same 25 pound shipping label and people who ordered 40lbs got two rocks. Depending on who you get on the other end of customer service will determine what kind of resolution you are offered here is my 20lbs order

wow petsmart was having this “sale” since about 2 years ago. Glad I didn’t bite and hope whoever got it refunded.

I just spoke with Petsmart Customer Service. They claim they’re shipping me out 20lbs and I can keep the 6.8lbs I received. Time will tell what I get.

For those who want some Life Rock from PetSmart but are having problems with this deal, there is another one that looks like it could be a bit more predictable.

The 10lb boxes (packed by Caribsea and not PetSmart) are $50.99. They are currently running a 'buy one get one half price' offer on certain items and this is included. On top of this, if you spend $100 on certain items, they will take $30 off, and this is included in that offer too. These offers are stackable so if you add some sand or salt (some of which is also on offer) to get the order over $100 then the deal works out pretty well.

I've just ordered 20lbs of Life Rock (i.e. 2x 10lb boxes), 20lbs of sand and some carbon for about $71.

I just ordered 40lbs (2x 20lbs) of Life Rock from them and it came to about $86. Great deal!

Hoping it arrives you guys.. I’m still being told they can’t fulfill my order on the 20 LBs they screwed up because they don’t have any in stock to send. Doesn’t make sense that they are still accepting others orders if they are. Hope you guys have better luck than me. I’m going to wait a bit longer and cancel if I don’t get anywhere.

I actually just called because my email told me I just needed to check online to see when the item was back in stock. This didn’t make sense to me because the item says it’s back in stock.. so I called. They canceled my reship order and processed a new one fee of charge. :::: crossing fingers:::: this works.

You are correct. It is called "life rock" which is not the same as live, oceanic aquaculture, live rock.

OP should change the subject accordingly because the two couldn't be further apart.

I just got 3-40lb boxes from saltwateraquarium. Best price i found delivered in 2 days free shipping. Fedex guy carried all 3 boxes up my driveway (120lbs). Note to self dont mess with that dude lol.
