If you don’t rush, and take your time, then good things will happen. Being careful and cautious is key. QT, wait for your tank to cycle fully, do the research on fish compatibility, etc.

Nearly everything I know about the hobby I learned from either here or reefcentral over the last 14 years. The other stuff, I learned from experience.

Without a forum like this, I probably would have never gotten into the hobby. I would have been stuck believing that saltwater was too hard and I would have just kept a freshwater tank. It’d have a big plastic sunken ship and a bunch of neon tetras.

Did this last night and blew said wastemouthwater all over my wife. She was not amused.
You can put the submerged end in front of a PH to start a siphon, no need to suck on the hose. lol

In keeping a saltwater reef aquarium if you leave your RO/DI on for too long, or forget it's on, then flooding will happen.

I can honestly say that I can attribute 90% of my limited success in this hobby to the advice I've received (direct or second hand) from folks at R2R.

In keeping a saltwater reef aquarium if you do your research and ask questions before making a change or addition , then you will have fewer "HELP ME!!" questions later.
+1 on this one!;)
