This is just me, but unless I can positively ID something on a frag/coral, it’s getting removed. That being said, they could be whelks. Some are good, some are bad.

Yeah that is what I normally do, but there were quite a few on one frag so I was curious. Going to throw them away.

Finding a bunch of pests on a single frag is pretty ominous lol. It’s not usually the same as a stray snail or crab that got picked up along with the frag. I would keep a close eye on how the frag does over the next few days. Hopefully it doesn’t have any eggs left over, but if it does, I’m sure you’ll know lol

Asked the guy I got the frag from, they are Strombus maculatus. In case anyone needs an id like this in the future. Thanks!
