Good snail hitchhikers? Nassarius/conch?

Title says it all, got these on a coral frag—debating to add or not. Thanks!

This is just me, but unless I can positively ID something on a frag/coral, it’s getting removed. That being said, they could be whelks. Some are good, some are bad.

Yeah that is what I normally do, but there were quite a few on one frag so I was curious. Going to throw them away.

Finding a bunch of pests on a single frag is pretty ominous lol. It’s not usually the same as a stray snail or crab that got picked up along with the frag. I would keep a close eye on how the frag does over the next few days. Hopefully it doesn’t have any eggs left over, but if it does, I’m sure you’ll know lol

Yup. I was actually looking for some of these in the past, so I was excited when I got the ID.
