Yours are bristles...
Here's what I've seen in my tank. As of 5 minutes ago. These haven't bothered anything other than uneaten food.

Look at the pic i posted. Theres a common bristle as well as a fire worm. The fireworm has definitive red tufts at the base of their spines.

Ok I finally educated myself enough on YouTube to figure out how to do this. Had to make an account and everything. If you guys can now see into my livingroom because I don’t know how to turn on privacy settings let me know!
Aside from that if it is still the consensus that it’s a Fire worm and must be removed I’ll keep my efforts up to catch it. So far it’s smarter than me,.....

If you listen to the first video closely you can hear my wife’s disgust with the critter!

Marine Depot and other suppliers sell a worm catcher. It has a place to put food to attract them. I used to have a bunch of bristle worms, from 1 inch babies to 8 inch adults. It only took 3 nights to get all of my B worms. The first night I got over 15 worms. My tube was under $10.00. I put a piece of silver side in the tube. You just lay it w/fish on your substrate at night, get up in the morning and empty the tube. It will catch fire worms too.

Latest attempt at catching this fellow! Fail! You can hear the return water running, I put in chemiclean to take care of some red algae and the instruction said to increase air so this is my way of making bubbles. I’m not sure how long he is but I have yet to see all of it!
