Emperor has been a model citizen so far? Beautiful fish!

model might be a little strong haha... I decided when I put him in that I was going to build around the emperor, using corals he doesn’t mess with... had to pull a few zoas (not all strangely) and a frag of cloves... also he demolished a frag on anthelia... I’m prepared to have other casualties or at least occasional nipping

The wood work on your stand and paneling is really well done! I really like how it fits in with the rest of the room too.

I am definitely interested in keeping some gorgonians like yours, any tips? Major challenges?

So many beautiful fish too!

Sorry I missed this post. The gorgonians I have are all photosynthetic, they are really quite easy to keep. Good lighting and good flow. The only real tip I would give is they don't like to rub against anything- rocks, other corals, other gorgonians, etc. Other than that, pretty easy. The non-photo ones are a different story. They require specialized care and are much harder to keep long-term.

Your reef looks great. I had a gorg/leather tank for many years. Very nice movement and fairly easy to maintain. Yours is beautiful. I like the stand and canopy too. Very well done!

Thanks all! I have really enjoyed this tank. I am a fish 1st, corals 2nd guy... so I had to work some of these corals around a few fish that I wanted... pleased with it so far... probably adding a bunch of mushrooms now to the rock work to fill spaces...

Great build, I have a 7 x 4 x 2 in the planning stages and it will be a softie and nem tank, I'd love gorgs but angels tend to like them.
Love your flame, mine is probably my fav. fish. :)
