Thanks to the generosity of @noopsyche I received my K7 Pro II today. This is the first time I have ever gotten a package on time from DHL shipping let alone two days early!

Anyway, I am going to post pics of the unboxing and first impressions.

I will test this, at first, on my 18x18x11 nano then on my 30x30x24 main display that will have the rock structure concentrated in the back left 20x20 area.

So it will be tested on two different sized tanks and depths and with totally different corals in each.

(I wish I could afford a second to run both tanks at once but it's not in the cards at the moment)

So I have to, again, say Thanks @noopsyche !!!

Just waiting on the remote to charge up. Which, by the way, comes with a bracket to hold it so you don't lose it. These guys thought of everything! Well done!

Honestly, thus far, I am impressed.

The light itself is TINY!

And, just on manual, BRIGHT!

I am going to have to add something to clamp the fixture to on my stand because the tank glass wouldn't support the weight on it's own. So, better safe than sorry. It won't look good but it will be functional.

I have it over my cube and just swiveled the DIY fixture out of the way for now.

The corals are already opened up and the color looks good. Wish I could capture the color properly.

Check out the aquarium cam app. Captures much better colors for me

OK, so with the help of MSB123 I was able to program the light for automatic ramp up and down to the AB+ (simulated) spectrum. I will also be changing this a bit. I want a little less 470nm blue compared to RB.

I took it off the nano after a few days because I am going to try and procure a second fixture for testing on a freshly setup 93 cube. Reason being is I want to know, without a doubt what these lights will do if they are the only lights that got used from the start.

My guess is they will do very well given the PAR numbers and the coloration I have seen.

I will be getting the tank wet soon and will have to make a custom mount for the light because of the way the rim is on the cube.

I will go ahead and fire up the one light and progress from there.

By the way, the cycle will be very short on the 93. It will be tied into the already cycled 15 gallon nano and I will use bacto balls and microbacter 7. I would say that I will have frags in and lights on in a couple weeks after startup and physical systems testing.

What was your shipping time from when you placed your order? I ordered one July 1, 2019. Got my order confirmation the next day. But nothing on when to expect it?

Sir,

I am the one now shipping them.
I have shipped the light via UPS as requested and have now sent two emails with the tracking number.

I will also respond through the website so that you may track it there as well.
