I picked up an used 225g set up about 15 yrs ago and built it into my my wall in the basement. Got it going with about 200lbs of live rock and had a few clowns, fire fish, purple fire fish, blue and powder blue tangs and my favorite was my dog faced puffer. Fortunately I didn’t spend a fortune on corals and exotic decor Since I ended up heading out of town for a cpl yrs for work. So the tank sat empty for about the last 12 yrs and for the last yrs or so I would just look at it thinking that i should get it going again. I finally got off my but and started researching to update the system. Cleaned out the tank and started the process. Replace the entire system. New sump, skimmer and went with 3 viperspectra 165s for lighting. Had no idea what a refugium was before restarting again so after looking into it a little I decided to use my old sump to make a fuge. At current I have turbos, hermit and emerald crabs with 2 lawn mower blennys on clean up. 3 clowns, 2 leopard wrasse, convict tang, 2pep , blood, cleaner and a pistol shrimp. Have a pink bar goby will be here in a few days With 2 porcelain anemone crabs. A assortment of frags and most resent a frogspawn and 2 headed torch. It is quite addicting and hard to be patient but seeing the tank develop over less than 4 months keeps you hooked. So hello everyone, I know as I get deeper into reefing I will ask for advise and be happy to share what I learn. Oh, almost forgot, after splitting twice, I have 4 watermelon bubbletips, a green, white pink tip and a purple with green tip anemones.

Welcome and hope all is well with you and your family ^_^
Tank looking good so far and sounds like ypu got the bug again so will steadily fill up with more fish and corals and 225 gallon you got so much potential.
Good luck and have fun
