Thanks Rich,

The Alkatronic is an alk monitor and can control alk too. It has a built in pump that can dose alk and I'm trying to find out if Kalk is a possibility too. It also has a WIFI plug that can turn off a calcium reactor's feed pump if your alk climbs to a certain set point and will turn it back on when your alk lowers.

My cal reactor keeps things very stable including cal and mag. The mag holds at about 1400 because we use ZeoMag in the cal reactor.

I really want it for monitor purposes, but it will be nice to flick it into control mode when we're out of town.

It would be nice to be able to "tune down" the cal reactor and let the Alkatronic dose (pick up the slack with) Kalk for a higher ph... :)

I think it can test alk from 2 to 12 times a day, but I will only focus on one reading at the same time each day.
It does show a graph like Apex does with a ph probe inside a cal reactor.

I'm not really interested in cal or mag, and with Trident, you'll have to buy all three reagents in a three pack.

Plus... if my Apex breaks the Alkatronic will help me keep the cal reactor tuned in, until the Apex has been fixed.

That's about it... :)
Sounds like an excellent idea to set up for worry free, automated levels. Especially the ones we chase as much as Ca and dKh.

The fact it has an integrated monitoring system is also a nice point of reference to compare with actual testing.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

The problem I think you will have is when your away the CO2 goes away also that means ph goes up and that means growth does as well so as long as you can adjust the calcium reactor up from where ever u are from fusion u will be fine

When my tanks all goes down is when I have people over a massive algae breakout or me tinkering in the tank when I go away I can’t mess anything. Up so corals use it

I'm not brave enough to put an eel in my reef. :(

I'm not brave enough to ask my wife if I can spend that on 1 inhabitant.... o_Oo_O

Those Hawaiian dwarfs are really small, even when full grown. Bout the only reef safe eel out there.

(lol)
My cleaner shrimp walks right past him... :D

Lol...

I had a bunch of Divers Den points built up, then DD shot a two day 20% off sale.

But, my wife has dealt with this hobby since we met in HS... :D

She loves that guy. Gets on me if I don't feed him.

Her and our youngest named him Carl from "The Walking Dead"...

Hi Freddie,
I’m sorry to hear about your family issues and truly hope everything goes well for Angelia and you.
As per the tanks I suppose it’s already in cruising mode... ;-) so let it live without hands.
Regards!
Thanks, Alfrareef
Angelia is doing much better and we replaced the car.

Pretty much like you said, Keeping hands out of the tank... :)

Thanks, Rich

I believe someone on this thread got something most people dream of having and has yet to post a picture of it

Yeah,
She came in on Thursday.

@crusso1993
That's great!!

She listened to it and it made her happy.... :) Took her mind off the Predators taking a beat down from the Stars.

If the Preds loose in the first round... :( Pulling for @dbl 's Blues in the West and @HolisticBear 's Islanders in the East
