That's cool. I love that about montis. Ive got bits and pieces all over that have begun to grow into small colonies. Doesn't bother me, they are easy to chip off when they get huge.
Those nud's did the job.
And I'd use Salty Underground again.

They are not working... ;Dead

Thanks,
But... I re-scaped it about... 3 years ago. :)

Haha. That's funny, I read it as an update on new aquascape. Now I understand after rereading it.

Freddie, I hate my red monti. I used to love them but.... last year+ ago I had a MASSIVE red monti. It just grew and grew. And not up and out, mainly it kept entrusting. Although it was pretty it stung other corals or would grow right over them - quickly. I removed every last bit of it including any rock it came in contact with. Then one day on the OTHER side of the tank I see this super tiny speck deep inside a rock. It grew and grew... I keep chopping it off but like a weed it is back for more.... it too is going bye-bye when I rescape.
1st pic 1st monti, 2nd pic current monti.

What is GoVols: doing this morning???

@MrMichael @hybridazn @prsnlty @justingraham

Screenshot (4).png

"I would not have any low ph issues with it. I open my windows at least once a week to get any CO2 out.

During the cold of winter and hot of summer:
I open the windows with one small fan blowing out, turn on all ceiling fans, leave the temp on the ac thermostat alone but switch the main units blower from auto to on."

Regards, GoVols :)

What doser do you use Freddie?
Jackie,
Right now I've been doing a hybird type balling method by hand since last October.

But... I bought the Apex DOS pumps when they first came out and I already had the controller.

I have no complaints with the DOS pumps and would high recommend them for dosing.

Thank you :D I'm changing my tubing out tomorrow and seeing if that makes a difference. I'm thinking the tubing is the cause

Jackie,
From my memory you have an Apex.
The DOS pumps are wonderful but I did change out my tubing at the beginning of 2016.
They were ageing and brittle so I was starting to get bubbles in the lines at the connection points.
Changed out the tubing / problem solved. :)

That's what mine are doing plus clogging up at the ends. No babysitting for 3 days so hopefully I'll have time for everything I need to do :)

GoVols: Post of the day...

How is the Red Sea - S Series Overflow System / Auto Top Off Reservoir... designed???

First off I was doing the weekly water change. So all pumps are off. Water line is low in tank and high in sump.

First shot is the back diagram of a S 500.

1= Full water line surface skimmer
2 = Downflow cup / down pipes and main pump return pipe
3 = Overflow box with built in recirc. pumps
4 = Built in auto top off holding tank

The below shots are from my S 400 and it has two built in recirc. pumps
