GoVols: "Stupid" mistake for the month...
Welp,
Have not ran the Apex DOS pumps for a year.
Been hand dosing the Red Sea ABC+ power with Colors C & D.
A few weeks ago I wanted to automate the Colors C & D.
Ran new lines to the DOS pumps and checked the calibration but no adjustments were needed.
Go to Apex Fusion and fire a good dose, one time and then my old Apex box went ;Dead but the digital interface was still up.
Wiped the Apex totally clean like a brand new box and lost all my Apex Fusion settings too, but (lol) I'm back up
So,
I forgot ;Oldman to remount the box and I filled my ATO water in the S-400's built in reservoir on Monday evening.
I was not paying close attention and it overflowed right into the Apex box
Tripped breakers ;Wideyed and the box was smoking / the ole burnt wire smell
So, That old Apex controller is officially, a total loss. ;Muted

Ugh, I am sorry Freddie. The dang thing crapped out on you that required this little adventure. Did all the accessories make it, can you "just" buy a new brain?

To myself, Red Sea has had plenty of time to figure out a safe way to automate the ABC+ powder.
And I don't want to dose their liquids but that's my call and I hope that I don't fall on my face
But (lol)... We got Randy's blessing and that was the final nail that sealed the deal

Seven dosing heads is a bit ridiculous thou, looking forward to this new fancy reactor.
Freddy, if you're tired of the ABCDEFG system from Red Sea -- Look into ATI Essentials. I absolutely love it, it's coincidence'd all the good things happening since I started dosing it.

Ha yes I’ve just re read that again and sounds like some fancy dosing/nuclear/chemical reactor project. Await the photos with interest once you’ve got it all set up.
Just on the Red Sea foundation elements, if you can’t mix the ABC+ into solution, why didn’t you just use the individual A B C’s which you can. And then you auto dose them. That’s what I’ve always done with my 650 and the 1kg powders last a long time and are far cheaper than using the pre mixed solutions.

I could dose the individual A B C Reef Foundation products.
But... My heart want's me to go back to a cal reactor and use Hybird's method.

Thanks for your feedback on the ATI and it makes me happy.
I'm not tired of the ABC+ powder and the results speak for them self.
But.. Over here, we're firing up a calcium reactor.
