Dear Justin's wife,

No strings are attached and hope you guys enjoy the DOS.

Sorry about Oakley chewing on the calibration beaker and hope you got a giggle out of wife's note :)

Regards, Freddie and Wife (boss)

GoVols:... Is Back

Guys sorry about the loss of contact on Reef 2 Reef and here's the low-down.

Was finishing up talking with @MrMichael last Saturday and all the sudden the new Apex Jr bit the dust :(
Have been in contact with Neptune Systems but we still have a ;Dead box and it will get resolved.

Thankfully we had already tuned in the cal-reactor by using the Apex and the big-3 are still stable.
The water flow has been constant and the Co2 solenoid has just been staying on :D

Meanwhile (lol) our kitchen sink's faucet, cracked from the inside out and I just put in a new faucet this evening.
"When it Rains, it Pours" ;Cow

So, the S-400 is all good but work has just been too busy ;Wacky to make the Apex and Reef 2 Reef the top priority's.

I've have talked with Jackie and she's all good too but she's been really busy.

Regards, GoVols

:)

And to think I'd about reached by breaking point with GHL on Saturday, your second Apex bites the dust. It's never easy :(

Glad all is well, looking forward to more updates

Yes Micheal,
We were just taking about your GHL issues and all the sudden the new Apex bit the dust
My digital controller lights up but it has no #'s and has no control-ability at all, so I can't even re-initialize the Apex.
Updated Neptune Systems with the latest info and we'll see wear we go from here.

I lost Fusion first and when I rebooted the controller my switches were gone in Fusion and it went down hill from there.
By this Wednesday the display has been totally lost in space ;Hilarious

At least the plug (switches) are stuck in the "On" mode and the cal reactor setup is still good :)

PS: While I was in Home Depot buying the new faucet, bought a 12" florescent light and it's a perfect fit.
Nothing special but (lol) I can finally see what I'm doing with not having to hold a flashlight in my mouth in the reactor's compartment :D

Weekly water change will be preformed in the AM.

Hey Freddie,

Following this, as my father is looking at getting the new Max S-400 LED. It seems you are happy with the tank! I feel like this is a great tank for him to get into the hobby with...would you tend to agree that everything as it comes is really good and not in needing of being replaced/upgraded, unless you wanted to?

Thanks so much!

Marc

Marc,
Thanks for tagging and I'll try to help you and your father out.

My S-400 is a 2013 model than came with 10 t5 bulbs.

I did try the new led Upgrade kit for the S-400 and to myself the 2 hydra's were not enough led coverage to my needs.
I'd go with 3 hydra's just like the S-500.

The C-Skim (Protein Skimmer) will do the job but it's also loud, so a year later I dropped in the Bubble King skimmer.

They are plug and play and you just can't beat the S-Series stand quality and built in power center.
I have made mods, over the years but it was more of that I wanted too, then had to do.

I just didn't keep the led upgrade kit on the tank but other than that I'd pulled the trigger again.

Freddie

Guys,
Just wanted to let you know that all is well.

Work has been crazy busy and I have been working late into the nights.

Still have not fixed the new Apex but the cal reactor has stayed tuned in and could not be any happier :)

Thanks, Freddie
