Another Vibrant update...

Well,
I got too cocky with Vibrant and "doubled the one time dose" on Saturday morning.
739c2b18c9bcb1d7d4c45184940e72239ac9191a

Really freaked out the wall hammer and thought it could be a doomed, but it's getting better each day and it's polyp's are close to be fully back out.

Checked nitrates, we are at .7 and still no signs of cyano.

So... Please stay within the dosing amount, that's on the bottle of Vibrant

Anyways:
These are two shots from what the skimmer pulled out during that 24 hour period.

So, The Vibrant is defiantly cleaning deep within the live rock.

Three shots (took this evening) showing the breaking down bubble algae being trapped into the overflow's teeth and recirc. pump's strainers.

I will not dose the Vibrant until the wall hammer has fully recovered and that's the last time that we overdose

Regards, GoVols

:)

Looking good.... Ya don't overdose it. I remember @fragit did by accident and it basically did in his chaeto and a couple frags I think. I was just dosing 2 times a week at recommended dosage but I also did not have any corals at the time either.

Liquidifed bubble algae. Pretty cool man.

Glad to hear the hammer is recovering.
(lol)
It's going to take awhile to recover and like I told you this weekend, the Setosa turned hot pink in color after that overdose too :(

Just got the tracking # from PEA :D

Fudsey,
I sure won't do that again and it sure would smoke a fuge.

This stuff is no joke.

Yeah I fried my fuge with that stuff. Bubble algae is a pain for me in my tank. I’m thinking of trying Vibrant again. But I’m hesitant, for many reasons.
Jesse,
I understand why your hesitant and thanks for stopping by.

I've still got a ways to go with the bubble algae and I'll report the pro's and con's as we go along with the Vibrant.

Sure won't double the "one time dose" again  and not going to preform another dose until the wall hammer opens all the way back up.

Freddie

Well,
I got into a coral sale over the weekend and I'm not going to mention the vendor.
Thought that the colors would match their shot.

But this is what I got.

So, I'm not happy with that purchase.

Just saying:
If you can't see the coral in person, then buyer be ware.

I don't think the vendor had any intentions of mis-conception, but I've tried just about every t5 combo's and led settings known to man

I'd be annoyed and I'm sure that was real money. They might as well just post b/w photos of corals if they vary that much.

I understand not mentioning the vendor since online backlash isn't worth it some times, but that vendor is off my list.

That is just not right. I'd be P.O. as well. You can tell it's the same coral too just can't even imagine how they got those colors. I tried every photo filter Photoshop has and it doesn't even come remotely close to their pic....:mad::mad:

What lighting did they shoot that under?
They told me but I left the conversation.
It was reefbrites and something else.

Is there anyway to re-open a closed pm???

A random thought crossed my mind, how long can they sit on inventory? Maybe the coral looked like the day it arrived from Indonesia or Australia.

Then it sat in their tanks for weeks or months and lost it's health / color in the process? Which doesn't speak highly of their systems, but brainstorming of ideas besides just lying via photoshop. They're no more likely to admit to poor husbandry as photo-shopping.
