Green Bali Slimer and Bird's Nest

So I tried my firsthand at some SPS just to see how it'll go, and the Bird's nest didn't make it past 3 months - I suspect it was not enough light since it turned a bit brown. I recently got a PAR meter and think I know that was it now. However, the Green Bali Slimer has been doing well and it's been in the same spot since I got it. The par is only at 90!! Unless I'm incorrect, shouldn't this SPS require a lot more light than what I have it as?

At this point it's almost as what we know of lighting requirements isn't always what seems to be the needed case.

Birds Nest are very finicky, they could do great and then all of a sudden collapse.

Green slimers on the other hand are pretty easy as far as SPS.

What par meter did you buy?
