Hi! Newbie question. Is that green coralline algae growing on the back panel? It’s a 4 month old, 16 gallon tank.

Tank Parameters:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrate: 0
Nitrate: 10
Phosphate: 0.12

Thank you!

I bought one of those after 4 month of starting my tank and do nothing. Once I start dosing Kalkwaisser thru my ATO is when the coralline algae start to show and right now I have to clean my glass once a week to remove the red coralline algae. Of course not all product works on all tanks but didn't work in my case.

I recently started dosing Magnesium and calcium. Once I run out of that, I plan to start kalk. Good to know that Kalk will help. I’m hating the green/brown.

I only have the green coralline algae on my rocks after over a year with the tank. I never get any on the glass or equipment, though. I'm hoping a purple or something else shows up, though...green is too close to nuisance algae appearance! I added a few trochus snails with pink coralline algae on their shells...hopefully that helps!

Jealous. [emoji846]

We have very minimal green but I love the color. About 85% purple and 10% red and a little pink and green.

I am really hoping to get some other colors. My one rock started this coral/pink in a few spots. I thought about scraping one to get it to grow. But there’s so little.
