Green eyelash palys and xenia rock

I have a rock in my tank with green eyelash palys and pulsating xenia, xenia doesn't bother me but the eyelashes do as they are starting to take over. Is there a way to kill off the eyelashes (or both) without killing the bacteria within the rock? Or what is the best step here so it doesn't try to overrun my tank?

When I had them Ide take the rock out and scrape them off rinse the rock with gloves and eye protection. Spreads like wildfire and the little floaty pieces will grow in the tank if you cut them in tank.

What were you scraping/rinsing with?

The hose out front and a chisel I found in a bucket in the garage may have had some putty on it Idr

I would try and remove the palys without killing them. And kill the xenia or cut it back.
I would recommend finding somebody who wants the palys rather than just killing them. From the picture provided they definitely aren't ugly ones.
