This may sound crazy but I'm having a huge problem with Green Stylophora. It's popping up every where. Little patches I can pop off the rocks and glass as soon as I see them but they are beating me. Once they establish a foothold it's near impossible to scrape or pry off. It's worse than aiptasia in my opinion. they are aggressive and once the touch another acro it recedes. I'm looking for advice on how to eradicate or at least control this pest coral in my tank.

I've considered picking it up on a few occasions but I never have.

It's not crazy because it's not stylophora. It's a pocillopora, which is known for going sexual and spreading all over tanks, often taking them over if left alone. You'll have to remove them all, including the mother colony, if you don't want that.

Thanks for the clarification. How do I control this thing?

I love this stuff but yes , like aptasia and Kenyii tree can own the landscape in your tank in no time

Wish I had done my research when I first got it.
Was one of those $5 starter corals back in 2020 at LFS.

I was about to get one too but noticed it was doing the same thing in the LFS tank and decided not to. Good luck!
Don’t buy it.
This thing is on every rock, the glass, frag racks, you name it.
And it doesn’t die!
I scrape it with a scalpel and it’s like I dosed it with Miracle Gro.

Wait so is it a pocillopora or a green Stylo?

I just recently purchased both, and I would probably like to avoid it spreading and just take it out now.
