I purchased a Purple Stylo at a frag swap10 months ago.
It’s doing great and I like the color. Please tell me this isn’t more of the same?

So this is a Green Stylophora and it’s safe?
I purchased both at the same time and the sales clerk told me they were the same.
Just different Shades of Green
LOL

Wait so is it a pocillopora or a green Stylo?

I just recently purchased both, and I would probably like to avoid it spreading and just take it out now.
You should sell both of these to a person you don't like. They both spread and grow like a weed.

Edit: nothing wrong with a super easy quick growing coral if you are starting out or just testing the sps waters. And of course I am only kidding about sabotaging a tank by selling someone these. Frankly they are a great candidate for aquaculture, since new people will always want a first sps.

I’m not a politician… if I had known I’d not purchased it. It’s something beautiful that you’ll have to get rid of in time. And that will make you feel even worse about it.
Not like Aiptasia when you put the flame thrower to it!!!!
Die, you evil scum, die!!!!

Would a laser work on killing the pociapora babies that pop up? I’ve never had it bc I read how much it spreads.

You could try F-Aiptasia. It coats and seals the aiptasia in a firm shell. You can break the shell off later.

I own green, pink, purple, and rainbow styos and pocis and have never had a problem. Have been keeping the ones I have, some for over 10 years. I believe there are a few stains out there that give these corals a bad name. :)

That is the best clam placement I have ever seen in a reef aquarium. Beautiful.

Wish I had done my research when I first got it.
Was one of those $5 starter corals back in 2020 at LFS.
Thats what theyre worth unless you really dig a tank that looks like a pasture in Ireland

Are Stylo just as bad as Pocci? I definitely don't want a grassland lol. Already got rid of my GSP.
