Scape looks great, I love the floating ledge look. I'd just make sure when it finds it's final spot you can easily get any maintenance tools in and around it. Great hardware choices!

Good advice thanks, it's got plenty of room around but I will double check that before I finalise!

I wasn't sure if I could get it floating like that, but the aqua scapefix is amazing!

Looking good! I bet the jack stand will give you a lot more peace of mind. I have parallel joists too.

Yeah, not sure if it's 100% needed, but I don't want to risk it. Not used to these houses made of twigs - I read the three little pigs as a child..

Does the colour at the bottom mean my DI resin is being worn out??!

Everything is looking good!

Yes that does mean that, how many gallons have you made with it? What is the TDS going into the DI?

It's 11-13 in. I've made around 140gallons so far. Just ordering a replacement cartridge! My old DI resin didn't change colour!

Oh how things change... I remember striving for Zero NO3 and PO4 - seems this isn't so much of a target anymore???

Any recommendations for SPS/LPS - If I want to keep both, probably more SPS than LPS, what should I be aiming at?

Very true. I actually had to stop doing water changes because the water was too clean. It's tough to find a balance for both. I run a mixed reef and shoot for around 3-5 NO3 and .05 on PO4. But to be honest my PO4 creeps up to .1 and the LPS love it, and the SPS just so of tolerate it!

And as a side note, I really don't pay any attention to the color changing resin. I pay attention to the water pressure and the TDS readings, and change when pressure starts to drop and I notice anything other than 0 on the TDS meter. I would recommend getting a hand held TDS meter to verify the inline model. I believe the hand held's are more accurate.

Well, DI done, just crept up to 1PPM after ~150gal. Completely orange too. Need some more resin, but should hopefully be enough water once the rest of my rockwork and sand are in there...
