Needed a better light for my mangroves, they were getting droopy. Found a cheap adjustable lamp and a full spectrum LED bulb on Amazon, then printed a mount to attach it to the tank.

Annnnd of course as soon as things are running smoothly something else happens! I think the power supply for my Nanobox LEDs died yesterday during a power surge.

Blinking LED now when I give it power, nothing else and the power supply LED is a weak flickering blue instead of the normal green. When I take the bluefish board out of the enclosure and power it via USB, it boots up just fine.

Ordered a compatible replacement power supply off of Amazon, but it won't arrive until Wednesday. Time to scrounge around in my box of old unused power supplies and see if there's any matches, otherwise it's an unintentional 3 day blackout.

How's your Monday going?

Sorry to hear about your light situation. I had a similar recent experience with my power supply box for Kessil AP 700 - not fun! On a side note, absolutely loving your tank!! I have the same tank and was hoping I could eventually be able to house few large fish (without stressing them or having nutrient issues... which looks like you have been able to maintain both just fine).

Oops forgot to update my thread! Luckily I was able to talk to Spencer and Dave at Nanobox and confirm that the power supply was the issue. Found a compatible one on Amazon that was Prime eligible!

It ended up being an extra day late (of course it's always the one item I need to actually be delivered on time...) but nothing in the tank seems to have suffered from the temporary 4 day blackout. ;Dead

Good news and bad news.

Good news is my new battlebox arrived! Love how much detail Adam adds to his bags.

Bad news is my mangroves didn't recover from shipping and dried out no matter how soaked I kept the roots. Going to try another iteration of my mangrove box but incorporate it into the rear chamber more so that water flows over the root box with some miracle mud at the bottom. Excited to see how it works.

Photos!

Moved the battlebox into their new homes. And got a box of very healthy mangroves, looking forward to starting to print my mangrove box V3 once my filament arrives today. That'll be a fun update.

Finally feels like it's looking pretty good again!

Filament and miracle mud finally arrived so I'm ready to share my mangrove box V3. I wanted to incorporate the miracle mud to help with trace elements and it's pretty close to what mangroves grow in, so I figured it would make a good substrate. This design let's water flow in across the surface so it keeps everything wet, but doesn't stir up the mud. Basically a little self contained DSB of sorts with some mangroves stuck in it. We'll see if it works!

Finally got a good picture of my female. It's amazing how much she's brightened up since I got her.

And a full tank shot;

Got a good shot of my male angel in natural daylight before the blues came on. It's incredible how much brighter he is now compared to the drab boring fish I bought from the store. Never seen any other pictures of a male spot breast this bright yellow before! Wonder if that means it's transitioning back to female?

Been thinking about splitting off the left and right sides more fully once I can annoy one last anemone enough to move over there, and it's so close (can you tell which one?)!

So I'll have torch + anemones isolated on their own rock and my other rock is all the other corals that don't appreciate wandering nems. I'm hoping the gap and bare bottom will keep them put, I've noticed they don't like the glass very much.
