The most disgusting thing is sea cucumber. Especially when you try to extract it from a rock and it comes apart into this gooey sticky disgusting whatever

I’m sure everyone has something they don’t find very clean, for me when I first started I had an emerald crab that I thought molted.. After 2 days , I reached in and pulled it out myself... it was no molt , and I could smell the death linger in the house.

Nothing about the hobby really grosses me out except when I spend money when I am not supposed to. I totally get sick to my stomach. Being a kid of the 80’s Nancy Regan taught me to just say NO to drugs but corals and reef tank accessories are like crack to me. So I guess it’s a different kind of grossed out.

Dead stinking masses from dinos to dead fish and obviously skimmate. Also not sure if youve ever had a whiff of a massive dead snail before....

Wow, that poor butterfly, one hell of an infestation. did he make it?
No, it's dead in the cup. I wanted to ID what killed it and the FWD revealed what I needed to know. Treated the tank with Prazi and the rest of my flies are good.

The smell of a snail that's been decomposing for a couple days. Worst smell ever. That's really the only thing that I have a problem with.

Shop vacuumed the single overflow after 2 years today. Run it herbie style.

Pretty gross the amount of aptasia and built up detritus.

Not as bad as the bristle video but still a reason I let it go so long.

I pulled a shell out of the tank once not to relies that that bad boy had been dead for a couple of days. The smell I smelled that day scarred me for life.
