I'm a little upset with you all for not mentioning chalices yet!

I love the WWC jellybean or my WWC space invader

No Rock? Free will to grow any direction it wants? Or Rock work to form over all the cracks and crevices?

I saw a 60g cube once with a huge birdsnest and a school of Chromis. That was pretty awesome.

For me I would probably do an SPS that was more exciting than a birdnest. A Millepora might be fun
I wonder how tight it would grow all those large Columns of Millie fingers that would be sweet and fuzzy

That looks like a picture from the wild nice

If it was a picture one in captivity, the owner better be a part of a scientific institution/organization/museum.

Its a highly protected/endangered species

Only one I have seen posted on here has been by @Brandon McHenry

Would love a whole tank of just scolies... all different colors all over the rock work, sounds lovely and SUPER expensive. Maybe a more doable alternative would be a tank full of different colored duncans like the WWC lavenders, blue ones, green ones, a whole bunch of them. Feeding response would be epic

Species specific displays, done right, can be beautiful. There used to be a shop in St. Louis that had a branching hammer, all by itself, no live rock, just sand, and this giant, twisting, hammer... probably more than a hundred heads. A school of anthius were the only fishes, in a 36" square tank, fairly low. Beautiful.
I’m in St. Louis. You said used to...as in it’s not there anymore?

Seen tanks dominated by the following coral, sometimes not by intent.

GSP
Xenia
Gobstopper palys
Green Rhodactis shrooms
Anemones of all types (frankly I get tired of looking at nothing but bubble tips or condis)
Euphyllia
Leather corals
Giant clams (cool looking, but was a nightmare keeping calcium in the water)
Acans
Rock flower Anemones ( pretty, but it needs to be a shallow tank and low to the ground)
Bunch of others.....

I did see the 50'ish cube one time full of nothing but several miami orchid acropra, and if I had to copy one tank that would be it.
Do you have any links to any of these tanks? I would love to see them!
