Guess im one of the few who cant grow chaeto !

NOPE ! CANT DO IT ! WONT GROW!

My nutrients and phosphates are high and all i want is this chaeto to do its job !!!!!!!! ahhhhhh

Hmmm- when you say it doesn't grow, does it just stay the same size, melt, turn white, etc?

What kind of light are you using and how often do you change your water in the tank?

weekly water changes.

it stays about the same size get hair algae all over it and all in the sump

it has started to become less and less but dont see it melting. its been in there for about 6 months ! just looks like its falling apart

MAy go to lowes and get a 23 watt 2700 k flood light tho try that

1.5 years old
Nitrate = 50 ppm
po4 = .5 ppm

using a salfriet test kit

Interesting, just got a shutdown with the same problem, just with a kessil fuge light and bubble algae
