@twilliard Any chance you can post an updated recommendation on how to treat a tank by dosing H2O2? It seems like the recommendations may have been modified over several threads.

In my case, I am wanting to do it to knock back a Cyano bacteria outbreak.

Thanks!

for cylindrospermum it's 1ml for every 10 gallons twice a day (lights on-lights off)
I would not exceed 1.5ml per 10 (I have tested this as a maximum- excessive ORP drop)

Thanks! Going to give that a try at 1ml per 10

Did you verify that it is NOT spirulina?
I did a few weeks ago. And it does look like the same strain but I should probably test it again just to make sure.

What the peroxide did not kill got chemcleaned.
I'm trying to not go the Chemiclean route. I don't like the fact that they are very deceptive about what is in it. I know it works for some people. I know it causes tanks to wipe in very rare cases. Since they won't tell us even in vague terms what it is or how it works I'm staying away.

Chemiclean has no effect against cylindrospermum

True, but I had to do something. The peroxide only took about half of it. You might be lucky and only have the one that peroxide takes care of. There's a video on here how to tell which one you have, I had both.

The jist of it was you put peroxide in a cup with the cyano and if it turned white it was one or the other. I can't remember, but I seen it a month ago.
