Hi all,

I’ve been running my H80 with the Apex to control the color via the 0-10v output (super cool) and currently I have it set to 50% color, which seems to be the closest to the “growth” indicator on the light itself.

But after a few weeks I’m not getting outstanding results with my AlgaeBarn Chaeto (see picture). Before I try out 66%, or 33%, or 75 or 25 and induce some nuisance algae, I’m hoping someone out there has a value that achieves success.

Thanks for any advice.

I’m also dosing Brightwell’s ChaetoGro, so I’m assuming trace elements and nutrients are not the issue

Good question! 40% is the "Grow" setting, and 60% is the "Bloom" setting, so anywhere between those two is what should grow your chaeto.

It doesn't sound like the light setting is your issue - I'd check on your nitrate and phosphate levels. Oftentimes that's the biggest cause of chaeto just "dissolving" instead of growing well.
