Krylon makes a ruby opaque spray for glass (called sea glass) that if applied over black would be very close I believe. Its on amazon.
Oh awesome! Thanks! BTW gonna steal a few Ideas from your build thread. I really like the strip lighting under the tank to light under the stand and I really like the idea of the shelf around the outside of the tank.

Sorry for the delay in updates! So first decision was after doing some test painting the PVC, i decided it was not worth the time, effort, and risk of leaks to paint the PVC. Did some testing and really didn't like the result. So i think I am just going to clean the writing off the piping and just keep it white.

So some updates, Cut the holes for the overflow to go into the stand. A buddy came over and helped me get the tank up on the stand. Got the skeleton for the hood built. Radions came in. Had to move the thermostat from where it was to around the corner. My heaters and Zen Reef heater holder came in. Got my mesh top built. Picked up a bunch of rock and live rock.

What sand is that you are using? It looks like crushed aragonite.
I am going to be using 60# of aragonite and 40# of Caribsea fiji pink live sand. I may mix in a 10# bag of oolite in the center areas to make it a bit better for the wrasses if the fiji pink does not make it a bit lighter

What are you doing with the tank on the paint cans? Have you decided how you are going to skin the stand? Doors or pull the whole panel off?

That's going to be a tank for bringing in fish and getting them eating. I use that route specifically for leopard wrasses. Also doubles as a remote refugium. I was using the paint cans to gauge how high to make the mini stand for it. I think I am going to do removable panels. That way I can make it look as sleek as possible.

I like the removable panels cause the look will match your canopy. Have you put the rock in to see how you like it?
