Where is your thermometer going to be at? Seems like you should have the heaters in the return pump area so they are after the thermometer not before it or in the same area.

I am having my thermometer in my return pump chamber. Since they are Ehiem heaters the thermostat are built in. The apex is just an emergency shut off for them.

Gotcha. You are controlling the temp with the heaters.
If you were using a controller it is better to have the thermometer before the heater.

I may swap them around, it will make wiring the heaters to the Apex a bit easier because as in I don't know if the cable is long enough.

Did some leak testing to make sure my plumbing was solid. Came back with no leaks. Time to start filling!

Got some of the rockwork into the tank with sand. I have some liverock that I have not tested with yet. I will play with those once there is saltwater in the tank and it's heating.

And got my 10g tank drilled and a mini stand made for it. As well as rearranged my sump again to maximize the space. Also installed bulkheads and tap lines for my dosing containers.

Well it's been a hot min since I have updated my build thread. So I figured out what killed the 2 leopard wrasses. Its my Moyer's Leopard. He is one agressive fish. Going to be working on getting him out so he can move to something in the 300-600g range. Finally finished my stand skin after 8 months. Added a Avast Marine Kalk Stirrer. Ditched the Jebao Crossflow pumps. they are complete junk. 4-5 months in one died and the other 2 are leaking voltage. Swapped to 2 Vortech MP-40's and in the process of getting 2 more.

Got 2 Blue Gudgeons, a pudding wrasse, a second royal gramma, a yellow tail damsel, 18 peppermint shrimp, and 24 emerald crabs.

Currently dealing with Aiptasia (Came in on an Aqua SD frag), bubble algae (Came in on a hammer i got from another Hobbyist), and cyano (Probably waited too long to change my GFO or not enough flow)
