Do you remember many hours they recommend for the lights to be on?
I do not recall. I just set mine up to mimic a normal day. I am in process of discussing a particular light Aquanest M8. We are talking about that very thing now. The Aquanest has a suggested pre set light pattern for LPS, and SPS corals. It would be interesting to see. Here are my set schedule on this light

I do not see where my reply is so I will maybe repeat myself. I am discussing this very thing about the Aqauanest M8. I just set it up as a normal day. I have no idea if this is correct. Hopefully I will get a response. Every tank also has different approach, as I am learning as well. However my other tank is proving to be a very good learning curve. My lighting there seems to be correct. These are my settings at the moment if you go to the thread you will see there's

Large 1.5 - 2” trochus snails MOW down even thick hair algae. Just three of them keep my 170gal completely clean.

I will never add trochus snails to my tanks as I once had an invasion when they started multiplying and I had to remove over 1,200 using a long tweezer. It took me several days to rid my tank of them.

Any snail can reproduce lol. I have a harlequin Tuskfish that takes care of small snails hence my need for larger ones. I didn’t realise just how much more effective and less fussy larger snails are until I got mine. Unfortunately they do require more glue for corals though.

At the price of snails that does not sound like a bad deal. Even if you sell them at half what the LFS wants for them
