is this crack new or been there and just now noticed?

how much in the "seam" is the crack, how much on the acrylic panel?

remember, the acrylic is bonded not by a glue but a solvent, this makes your joints stronger than any other part of the tank. So no, don't panic, relax and take a look at it and see if it's something you need to deal with in time.

repeat: your tank will not blow up in a hollywood fashion :D

it's most likely just a spot that solvent didn't get into, so no biggy. You'll find them on most folks acrylic tanks, especially under actinic lighting. Basically where the two panels meet, is just as strong as the combined thickness due to the nature of a solvent join as opposed to a glue join.

So yea, no biggy at all, you're good to go, though I do understand the panic, especially as this is posted in the "big boys" area, hah!
