Hey all, so I’ve had my HHC (Micheal Myers) in my DT for a year or so. Unfortunately he loved dining on snails so I moved him to the sump so I could spot feed him and not worry about the trail of snail death he leaves behind . Anywho, he’s been down there for a couple months and seems to enjoy having it all to himself. A couple weeks ago, I noticed some Aiptasia growing in a few spots in the sump. Mostly on heaters and their cords. The other day I noticed him on a cord climbing., I didn’t think much of it as he also likes to climb on the reefmat. Anyhow, yesterday when I went to remove the heaters to nuke the Aiptasia, I noticed they were gonzo. Now we all know Aiptasia doesn’t leave on its own, and there’s literally nothing down there to kill them besides Micheal Myers.
Anyone else see this happen? I guess it’s not a huge revelation as they do eat soft corals….
