The best thing I've done for my fish and coral was to put proper saltwater in the tank.

If no saltwater in the tank and it was dry.... my place would stink up after 3 days...

Mine is polyfilter to. With a 13 gallon tank. Combined with chemipure it takes a lot of stress out of the water quality maintenance

And sugar dosing works great for me

Can I ask sir. How often do you replace the polyfilter? What color is it when you replace it?

I use about a third of the pack in my 55 litre nano in a seachem tidal hob filter and change it out every 2 weeks....could probably go longer but seems to work for me

Gets to the sort of colour range in the chart below for me after the two weeks

Thank you very much. Maybe in my case, it's in an internal power filter, it gets dirtyer faster. I will go and look for a hob filter. And Thanx for the color chart

Your welcome...as i cut mine into strips it allows water to flow around it so it acts more as a chemical filtration media than mechanical so doesn't get as dirty with particulates as i like to leave them in the water for my Coco Worms to feed upon

I would definitely recommend the Seachem Tidal range if going hob filter it is so easy to change media just lift off the lid lift out the old media and in with the new, and you can put anything you want in it unlike some others that are designed to only take their own media's

Oww that's an idea. In my case there is no way around the polyfilter for my water to flow. Guess I'll cut smaller pieces then. Thank you again
