Before finding it in stock I looked on amazon but they're charging $23 a box instead of the $15 it should be. Unless there is another listing for it that I didn't see
I did pay the higher price simply because of the shortage/availability.
But did you see the video someone posted where you can use API liquid reagent on the Hanna tester for a fraction of the cost and get a solid reading?!!!

Wow I had not seen that. I believe I have an old api test kit that if not expired I will test and compare reading with using my Hanna reagent pack.

Thanks for sharing.

At the bottom of the thread there are people who tried it and said it didn't work.

So I just took a sample of water from my tank and checked my nitrates using the Hanna reagent pack and I got 6.1. I then tested using the api reagents following the directions posted and the reading was 3.0. That is slightly outside of the accuracy of the meter but honestly closer than I anticipated. I may eventually test each method several more times to look for a trend but not until I get more Hanna reagent packs in. As long as the api reagents gave a predictable outcome (like half of the Hanna reagents) then its still a viable way to test nitrates if the Hanna reagent isn't available.
