Ok, got my HR Hanna NITRATE kit today and compared it to NYOS nitrate. Did both test at same time.

24 on NYOS HR
45 on HANNA HR

Ran both test again just to see if I get similar results and it was within 5 increments.

Hopefully Hanna is right...anyone else get these type results.

Taking the Hanna High range checker for a spin tomorrow.

I has alway been hard to determine the right measurement with many different nitrate test, judging the color with the color chart. I am hoping Hanna makes life simpler. I am also looking forward to the simpler version of the High range compared to the low range delusion test.

Same here, Nyos seems to give me around 45ish and the Hanna is flashing 75ppm ugh. I'm much more inclined to trust the Hanna though.

Same for me, Hanna shows much higher results. @SBB Corals has a post in his thread about this as well

I have an NDOC and Triton ICP that I should be getting back any day now.

I would think that we are seeing higher readings for the reason that it was so hard to determine the right color after testing. The Hanna checker takes out all the guess work of determining the right color, hence the hight readings we are seeing.

Seems like Nyos Nitrate is more in line with the Nitrate Low Range

I noticed that the Nyos was about 4-8 higher than what Hanna was telling me. I can hardly tell the difference in the yellow with my eyes. I ran 3 tests with Hanna in a row and got 5.4,5.4,5.3 and Nyos looked to be around 8-12. It was not exact but clearly between the circles in darkness. If Hanna is off it’s consistent. Btw I love this Hanna!! Oh my gosh it’s so nice. I was using Salifert before and hated the pink shades. I was starting to hate the yellow on the Nyos that was my drive to get the Hanna HR

Glad to see this thread as I am getting similar results, but for me Hanna HR seems double the Nyos readings

For my Reef Tank, Nyos is and has been approximately 10-12ppm, and Hanna HR is reading 23ppm.
For my low tech Frag tank, Nyos is approximately 25ppm, but Hanna HR is reading 48ppm.

An older ELOS test kit seems closer to Nyos results

Would really like to know which is the more accurate one ...
